Subaru is recalling 1.3 million vehicles in the U.S. because the brake lights may not illuminate properly.

Tesla is suffering one of its worst sell-offs of the year after announcing it would begin closing all of its stores in favor of selling its electric cars exclusively online.

The stock will list on the NASDAQ under the ticker “LYFT,” a process expected to take place as soon as April.

The new version of the Model 3 will have a range of 220 miles, a top speed of 130 miles-per-hour and will be capable of going from 0-60 miles-per-hour in 5.3 seconds.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles this week announced a $4.5 billion investment that would bring 6,500 new manufacturing jobs to Detroit and its suburbs and, nearly two years before the first new vehicles will even roll off the line, the city already is taking steps to ensure it can provide enough workers with the needed skills.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than a half million vehicles in the U.S. due to new problems that can cause engine fires.

Volvo's electric performance brand Polestar is unveiling a battery-powered compact car touted as a rival to Tesla's Model 3. The Polestar 2 is a five-door vehicle with a panoramic glass roof, an all-vegan interior and a battery with enough capacity to drive 500 kilometers under European tests for range measurement, or 275 miles under U.S. testing rules.

The stock market shook off an early slump and was mixed in morning trading Tuesday as investors weighed conflicting reports on how the U.S. economy is doing.

The lawsuit is the latest hurdle GM has faced in its plan to close several U.S. plants and layoff thousands of workers.

The investment comes as industry analysts say the U.S. auto market is cooling.

The new charge comes after Musk tweeted about Tesla's 2019 production targets.

The driver is said to have been "burned beyond recognition."
