Buying ethanol could help Beijing meet ambitious purchase goals under its initial trade deal with the U.S.

The phase one trade deal is the first step in correcting a trade imbalance of more than $300 billion between the world's two economic superpowers. 

The U.S. House of Representative is expected to vote on USMCA on Thursday; however, the day could still change.

Trump administration adviser and China expert Michael Pillsbury told FOX Business' Liz MacDonald on Monday he anticipates the deal happening "in two weeks or so."

"This cost us quite a bit of money, and it's just been so disruptive to us," Kent International CEO Arnold Kamler said.

Lighthizer, Navarro tout trade agreement enforcement mechanism.

"By the second year, we will just about double exports of goods to China, if this, if this agreement is in place," Lighthizer said.

Washington has agreed to postpone a planned tariff hike and to cut current tariffs.
