DOGE

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was launched on January 20, 2025, with President Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

DOGE was created in an effort to reduce federal spending, and provide transparency to the American taxpayers about where money was being spent by the government. Trump called on Tesla founder Elon Musk to lead DOGE’s efforts.

Since its start, DOGE has released information to the American public about fraudulent unemployment insurance claims, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) paying hundreds of thousands of dollars on a monthly basis for website changes and more. DOGE has also canceled many diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at federal agencies.

DOGE finds thousands of fake unemployment claims

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered tens of thousands of unemployment claims for claimants with improbably high or low ages, which the Labor Department confirmed.
