Chrysler is recalling over 150,000 Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee hybrid electric vehicles over concerns about the vehicles catching on fire while parked or driven.

Stellantis-owned Chrysler is recalling around 286,000 vehicles over concerns that side airbag inflators in certain models could rupture, causing injury or death.

Chrysler announced the recall of 338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokees from the 2022 and 2023 model years to address a steering wheel issue that could cause a loss of steering.

General Motors confirmed an estimated $200 million loss since the beginning of the United Auto Workers strike against GM, Stellantis and Ford on Sept. 15.

The White House said President Biden will not be involved in any negotiations between the United Auto Workers and Detroit's Big Three automakers.

Chrysler parent Stellantis is recalling 19,808 plug-in hybrid minivans and urged owners to stop recharging them, after reports of 12 fires in parked vehicles.
