Cleveland Cavs CEO on NBA Finals, impact of hosting the RNC
Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena CEO Len Komoroski on hosting the Republican National Convention and winning the NBA Finals.
Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena CEO Len Komoroski said hosting the Republican National Convention has been “spectacular” and very positive for Cleveland.
“People are having a great time,” Komoroski said during an interview on the FOX Business Network on Wednesday. “I think they’re experiencing our Midwestern nice as well. And that all together with a very walkable downtown and all these great assets connected together—it’s been a tremendous experience so far.”
While the RNC is a big accomplishment for the city – it’s first time hosting a convention in seven decades – the Rock and Roll Capital of the World has also notched other notable achievements this year. Earlier in 2016, the city’s hometown basketball team, the Cavaliers, won the NBA Finals, ending Cleveland’s 52-year championship drought. Combined with the RNC, this event has been key to propelling the city in the right direction.
