Eric Trump: Kissing Terrorists Isn't Working
One day following the horrific and deadly terrorist attack on Istanbul's busy Ataturk Airport, Eric Trump said the U.S. should be more proactive in the global fight against terror.
“Here we have a President [Obama] that can’t even say Islamic terrorism -- can’t even utter the words. Here we have an administration that says ISIS is on the run, that we are winning, yet every single day it seems like somebody’s going into an airport and shooting it up, or going into a nightclub in our own country and shooting it up, or setting off suicide vests,” said Trump Organization EVP Eric Trump to the FOX Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo.
“How many more people have to die? This is my father’s narrative. It’s been his narrative since the beginning of the campaign. Secure our borders, be tough. He talked about waterboarding again the other night because at what point if somebody walks in with suicide vests, at what point are you tough on those people? The words aren’t doing it, kissing these people -- it’s not doing it anymore,” he added.
When it comes to his strategy for fighting terror, Trump said his father as president would be “so tough."
“He will go after ISIS like they’ve never been gone after before. He’s a tough guy. He’s also and incredibly compassionate guy. He believes in right and wrong, but when you have three suicide bombers, going in, in vests and wounding 200 people, killing 41 and the death toll is still going up… when does it end?” he said.
