These multifunction machines are Energy Star compliant, have solid ink-cartridge-free technology (which uses fewer materials and less energy) and automatic two-sided printing and copying, resulting in as much as 50% less paper used. Thanks to Xerox’s GreenPrint software, unwanted papers are automatically highlighted and removed before printing begins. The environmental-friendly benefits don’t come cheap. The 9200 series starts at $21,299.

HP Compaq 8000 Elite PC
The HP Compaq 8000f Elite PC is a ultra-slim desktop that is 30% more energy efficient than past models. The desktop is Energy Star qualified regardless of the configuration and includes H-P’s Power Assistant technology which maximizes the desktop’s energy usage. The 8000f is brominated flame retardant and polyvinyl chloride free (BFR/PVC-free). It goes on sale in early February and prices start at $849.
