FOX Business Network Signs Bloomberg's Trish Regan
FOX Business Network (FBN) has signed Bloomberg’s Trish Regan as an anchor and markets reporter, announced Bill Shine, Senior Executive Vice President of Programming for FBN and FOX News Channel (FNC). FNC and FBN were created by Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes who oversees both networks.
In making the announcement, Shine said, “We’re excited to welcome Trish to the FBN team and look forward to utilizing her broad industry contacts, along with her expertise in international economies.”
Beginning on April 6th, Regan will serve as a markets reporter and business anchor for FBN. She will also provide financial commentary across FNC programs and on FOXBusiness.com.
Regan added, “FBN has an all-star lineup of business anchors and I am beyond thrilled to join the team and help further strengthen the brand.”
At Bloomberg, Regan served as anchor of the market-close program Street Smart, which aired weekdays from 3-5pm/ET. She also anchored a series of the network’s primetime specials as well as the 2012 Presidential campaign coverage. She joined the network in 2011 and has interviewed some of the most prominent names in business, including: Virgin Group CEO Sir Richard Branson, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, NSA Director Admiral Michael Rogers, and CBS Corporation President and CEO Leslie Moonves.
Prior to Bloomberg, Regan served as a markets and documentary anchor for CNBC where her “Marijuana, Inc.” special is still among the network’s highest rated documentaries. She was also a regular contributor to NBC’s Nightly News and the Today Show. She joined CNBC from CBS News in 2007, where her work as a financial correspondent for CBS Evening News earned her an Emmy nomination. From 2001-2005, Regan served as an anchor at San Francisco CBS affiliate, KPIX-TV, where she also contributed to then CBS MarketWatch.
Regan spent time working in the emerging debt markets group at Goldman Sachs and at hedge fund DE Shaw while pursuing a degree in American History at Columbia University. She is a member of The Council on Foreign Relations and the author of “Joint Ventures: Inside America’s Almost Legal Marijuana Industry,” which was published in 2011.
