Super Bowl star partners with Columbia to ‘arm’ athletes as investors
Marques Colston, a former NFL wide receiver who helped the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl in 2010, has teamed up with Columbia Business School to give retired athletes the tools to become smarter investors.
“Because of our platform that we have, we end up in front of a lot of opportunities, and we are accessible almost to a fault sometimes,” Colston told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney on “Varney & Co.” “So what we want to do is really arm people with information.”
An initial series of month-long courses will be offered in venture investing and entrepreneurship. Colston, who retired from the NFL two years ago, will teach.
“We want to help them put together a process to be able to evaluate and vet the right deals and get in front of the right deals,” Colston said.
