These are the 25 Best Companies for Internships
With more than 27,500 open internships across the U.S., according to Glassdoor data, now is the time for college students and young professionals to apply to summer internships. But how can you make sure you land a great internship where you’re doing real world versus just fetching coffee?
Glassdoor, the job review site, combed through thousands of company reviews shared by interns over the past year to identify the companies that offer the best intern experience, revealing its fourth annual report of the 25 Highest Rated Companies for Internships in 2015.
This year, Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) takes the top spot for the second year in a row with a 4.6 company rating, according to interns. Company ratings are based on a 5-point scale on Glassdoor, with 5.0 indicating employees are very satisfied and 1.0 indicating employees are very dissatisfied.
“At Facebook in particular, we see interns speaking very favorably about doing real work that impacts more than a billion people every day, working alongside very smart colleagues and having regular access to Facebook executives and senior leaders,” said Scott Dobroski, Glassdoor career trends analyst.
Meantime, Chevron debuts on the list at #2 with a 4.6 rating, knocking Google to #3 (4.6) after ranking second on last year’s list. Quicken Loans (4.5) comes in at #4, while eBay (4.5), which did not crack the top 25 last year, rounds out the top five.
