After Jobs Report, Mortgage Rates Fall Further, Freddie Mac Says
After last week's disappointing jobs report, mortgage rates fell further, mortgage giant Freddie Mac said Thursday. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.66% in the week ending April 9, down from 3.70%. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 2.93%, down from 2.98%. The 5-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgage averaged 2.83%, down from 2.92%, while the 1-year Treasury-indexed ARM stayed at 2.46%.
