Alcatel-Lucent Q1 revenue meets forecasts
PARIS (Reuters) - Telecoms equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent <ALUA.PA> on Friday posted first-quarter revenues of 3.74 billion euros ($5.23 billion) and adjusted operating profit of 13 million.
The Franco-American company, which competes with market leader Sweden's Ericsson <ERICb.ST> and China's Huawei <HWT.UL>, also confirmed its 2011 goals to grow faster than the overall market and reach an operating margin of 5 percent or more.
The revenue was in line with a Reuters poll of 15 analysts, who forecast revenues of 3.75 billion euros.
Analysts had expected an adjusted operating profit of 27 million euros.
