BMW boss says he's fine, day after collapsing during presentation at Frankfurt auto show
BMW CEO Harald Krueger says he's doing fine, a day after he collapsed during a news conference at the Frankfurt auto show.
The 49-year-old, who took over at BMW earlier this year, stumbled backward and fell on his back Tuesday during the first five minutes of his presentation of his company's new lineup.
He was then lifted up and helped off stage by staff. BMW said immediately after the incident that Krueger had been traveling a lot recently and had not been feeling well before the presentation.
Krueger told Bild newspaper Wednesday that his doctor had told him he'd just had a short fainting spell.
"I'm doing well again," he told the newspaper.
