Brussels Mosque Evacuated After Discovery Of White Powder: Reports
White powder found in a suspicious-looking package at Brussels's largest mosque was determined to be a mix of flour and talc, news reports said Thursday, citing police and firefighters in Belgium's capital city. The Grand Mosque of Brussels had been evacuated following the discovery of the package. Eleven people were decontaminated as a precaution. The mosque is located near many embassies and European Union offices. On Wednesday, Brussels ended a four-day lockdown of the city, which took place as authorities hunted terrorists suspected of taking part in deadly attacks in Paris on Nov. 13. The manhunt remained underway Thursday, Reuters reported.
