Chrysler Has Best November For Vehicle Sales In 13 Years
Chrysler Group reported November U.S. vehicle sales growth of 20% over the same period last year to 170,839 units, marking the best month-of-November performance since 2001. The carmaker said sales were boosted by 31% jump in Ram Truck brand sales, a 30% increase in Chrysler brand sales and a 27% gain in Jeep brand. Meanwhile, Dodge brand sales rose just 1%, as strength in Challenger and Journey model vehicles was offset by a sharp dropoff in Avenger sales. The company said it projects U.S. industry sales for November at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 17.5 million vehicles.
