Einhorn Reduces Apple Holdings, Increases GM Stake In Q2

Billionaire investor David Einhorn's Greenlight Capital reduced its holdings of Apple Inc. shares to 7.38 million from 7.44 million in the second quarter, the firm said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Friday. The value of the fund's equity holdings rose 4.2% to $7.97 billion in the three-month period, according to the filing. At the same time, the firm increased its stake in General Motors Inc. to 14.6 million shares from 9.5 million, the filing showed. Greenlight Capital increased its stake in electric utility UIL Holdings , and now owns more than $200 million of that company's stock.
