Fed's Tarullo Has Doubts About Second-quarter Bounceback
The U.S. economy has lost momentum and a bounce back in not certain, said Federal Reserve Governor Daniel Tarullo, according to The Wall Street Journal, suggesting he would not support an immediate rate hike. "There are more questions at this point in 2015 than there were at this point in 2014," Tarullo said at a banking conference in New York. Tarullo is the second Fed governor this week to question the health of the economy. In recent years, members of the Fed board have not strayed far from the consensus at the central bank.
