French PM Says Chemical Attack By Terrorists Is a Risk: Reports

France's prime minister, Manuel Valls, has warned that terrorist groups may turn to using chemical or biological weapons against the country, media reports said Thursday. Speaking to France's lower house of parliament about the weekend attacks in Paris, which left at least 129 dead, Valls said authorities must "not rule anything out," Reuters reported. "But we know and bear in mind that there is also a risk of chemical or bacteriological weapons." Valls was speaking to lawmakers to gain approval for an extension to the country's state of emergency from the standard 12 days to three months. Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks.
