Greece To Submit Reform Proposal Later Friday: Report
Greece's government will submit a list of reform proposals to its international lenders later on Friday, Reuters reported, citing a Greek government official. With the reforms, Athens hopes to unlock the next portion of bailout money for Greece, which is feared to be running low on cash. The anti-austerity government and the Eurogroup of finance ministers agreed in February to a four-month extension to Greece's bailout program, but the country doesn't actually get the financial aid until the two sides agree on a range of economic overhauls. The EU and International Monetary Fund, two of Greece's creditors, will meet in Brussels later Friday to start discussing the proposals, according to Reuters. Greece needs sign-off from both these lenders and the Eurogroup before any money can disbursed.
