Groupon Sets Black Friday Weekend Sales Record

NEW YORK (MarektWatch) -- Groupon Inc. said Tuesday its holiday sales from Black Friday through Cyber Monday set a record, up more than 25% from a year ago. Popular items included the Asus Google Nexus tablet, Chromecast and Roku as well as NFL ugly sweaters. The company said it also saw a high volume of redemptions at Groupon Coupons for retailers and brands including Best Buy, Macy's, Nike and Walmart. Groupon shares rose 1.6% in premarket trading.
