House Will Vote Tuesday On 'clean' Homeland Security Bill: Reports
The House of Representatives will vote Tuesday on a bill to fund the Homeland Security Department for the rest of the fiscal year, reports said. The bill won't include immigration restrictions Republicans have been seeking, House Speaker John Boehner reportedly told members. Boehner told Republicans he is outraged by President Barack Obama's actions to halt deportations for undocumented immigrants but funding the department is the right decision for the country. Without new funding in place by Friday at midnight the department would partially shut down.
