Microsoft joins Apple in $2T market value club

The two tech giants are the only companies valued north of $2 trillion as the software giant closed above the $2 trillion mark Thursday after flirting with the level for several sessions.

CEO Satya Nadella rolled out the first update to Windows in six years on Thursday
"Throughout its history, Windows has been a democratizing force for the world," CEO Satya Nadella said during the Windows 11 unveiling event Thursday. "Windows has created entirely new categories for both consumers and businesses."
Apple became the first company to cross the mark last August and its shares have gained just 1% this year with a market value of $2.2 trillion.
