Mondelez International appoints Gladden as CFO; Brearton to take on new role
The snack company Mondelez named a former Dell executive as its chief financial officer Thursday.
Brian Gladden, 49, will take over for CFO David Brearton starting in December.
Brearton is stepping into a new role to form a joint venture coffee company for Mondelez.
Gladden and Brearton will report to Mondelez International Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld.
In May Mondelez International and D.E. Master Blenders announced that they would link their coffee businesses together to form a company called Jacob Douwe Egberts. The joint venture, expected to form next year, will have $7 billion in revenue, according to the company.
Brearton, 53, will take on his new role as executive vice president, strategic initiatives at the start of December. He has been CFO at Mondelez since the company split from Kraft in 2012.
Shares of Mondelez International Inc. added a penny to $34.40 in Thursday morning trading..
