New York Jets Fire Head Coach Rex Ryan
In a widely expected move, the New York Jets fired head coach Rex Ryan on Monday after finishing the 2014 season with a 4-12 record. Second-year general manager John Idzik was also let go. Under Ryan, the Jets played in two consecutive AFC Championship games in his first two years, but failed to make the playoffs in each of the past four seasons, the New York Post noted.
