Newt Gingrich: We Have Never Seen This Level of Corruption in U.S. History
WikiLeaks has kept Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on her toes recently, after more emails were released to the public. This time around the email account of Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta was targeted.
In the past couple of weeks, WikiLeaks released over 33,000 of the 50,000 emails they are said to have in their possession.
“We have never in American history had the depth of corruption that we are seeing and frankly you’ll notice that John Podesta, the leader of the Clinton campaign was having dinners with Justice Department officials while they were investigating Hillary,” Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said to the FOX Business Network’s Lou Dobbs.
Gingrich said that the Clinton email scandal has begun to tarnish the FBI’s reputation.
“Comey is the first corrupt director we’ve seen in the sense that clearly the stuff that he knows is a lie. I clearly assume he was pressured by the Attorney General, who had a secret meeting with Bill Clinton on an airplane the week they were going to investigate his wife [Hillary Clinton],” he said.
Gingrich also gave a quick explanation on why Clinton is going to lose the 2016 election.
“I believe in the end, Hillary loses, I don’t believe the American people are going to send someone to the White House who ought to get indicted and be facing very severe penalties for what she has been doing,” he said.
