NY, NJ Airports To Screen All From W. Africa Countries Hit By Ebola
All travelers from West African countries affected by Ebola arriving at New York City's JFK International Airport and Newark's Liberty International Airport will be screened for the deadly virus and quarantined if necessary, according to a joint release from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Friday. Those countries include Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Individuals who have had contact with those infected by the Ebola will fall under a mandatory quarantine, the governors said. The action comes after an American doctor who had treated Ebola patients in Guinea was recently diagnosed with the deadly virus.
