Soros Takes Stakes In Homebuilders Lennar, D.R. Horton
Billionaire George Soros took stakes in homebuilders Lennar Corp. and D.R. Horton Inc. in the first quarter, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. Soros Fund Management bought 1.576 million shares of Lennar for a total stake worth $81.6 million as of March 31, according to filing-tracking service Whalewisdom.com. Soros also bought 2.796 million shares of D.R. Horton, worth $79.6 million at the end of the quarter. In all, Soros took new stakes in 90 stocks during the quarter and added to existing stakes in 42 companies while reducing or eliminating stakes in 95 firms, Whalewisdom calculated. Soros dumped 217.8 million shares of entertainment data firm Rovi and around 4.86 million shares of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries .
