U.S. Steel Shares Leap On Big Earnings Beat

SAN FRANCISCO – U.S. Steel Corp. shares leaped in the extended session Tuesday after the steel producer blew past Wall Street estimates. Shares of U.S. Steel surged 8.1% to $23 on heavy volume. The company reported adjusted fourth-quarter earnings of $1.82 a share on revenue of $4.07 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet estimated earnings of 85 cents a share on revenue of $3.94 billion.
