U.S. Stocks Little-changed As Tech Sector Drags

U.S. stocks closed little-changed Tuesday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index gaining slightly and the Nasdaq Composite Index slipping as tech stocks weighed on the broader market. The Dow industrials logged a new nine-month high, rising 49.44 points, or 0.3%, to close at 18,053.60, despite a 5.6% drop in IBM Corp. shares. The S&P 500 advanced 6.46 points, or 0.3%, to close at 2,100.80, its highest close since Dec. 1. The Nasdaq shed 19.69 points, or 0.4%, to finish at 4,940.33.
