U.S. Stocks Reverse Losses To End Higher
U.S. stocks closed higher on Wednesday, as a 8% jump in oil prices lifted energy and materials sectors. In volatile trade, the main indexes started higher, then fell only to recover in the final two hours. The S&P 500 closed 9.5 points, or 0.5%, higher at 1,912.53. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 183.19 points, or 1.1%, to 16,336.73. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite ended the day down 12.71 points, or 0.3%, at 4,503.24.
