American Electric Power Co. rose $.17 or .3 percent, to $56.14.

Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.17 or .3 percent, to $61.64.

Dominion Resources Inc. rose $.43 or .6 percent, to $72.52.

Duke Energy Corp. rose $.23 or .3 percent, to $78.30.

Exelon unchanged at $33.11.

PG&E fell $.18 or .3 percent, to $51.85.

Southern Co. rose $.06 or .1 percent, to $44.48.
