These top-earning blue collar jobs make up to 6-figures: Report
Top-earning elevator installers and repairers can make up to $114,980
You don't need a degree to earn six figures.
There are plenty of blue-collar jobs that can command top salaries that can be pursued without stepping foot inside a lecture hall. Construction managers, truck drivers and elevator installers are some of the jobs paying top dollar, according to GoBankingRates, which recently published a list of 14 blue-collar jobs that can pay up to six figures, even without a college degree.
The list was published as many people are reconsidering the necessity of university-style education. And President Trump plans to highlight blue-collar work during his third State of the Union address Tuesday night. One of his focal points will be the so-called “blue-collar boom,” according to a senior administration official.
At a rally last week, Trump credited his administration with increasing income among low-wage workers, saying that since his election, the net worth of the bottom half of wage earners has increased by 47 percent.
According to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, wage growth among low-wage workers has recently outpaced that of high-wage workers.

Pay for the bottom quarter of wage earners, for example, rose 4.5 percent in November, compared with 2.9 percent for the highest 25 percent of earners. The data also showed that wage growth during the period among low-skilled workers grew at the same pace as that of high-skill workers.
Recent pay growth among low-wage workers outpaced that of high-wage workers by the widest margin in at least 20 years, according to a report from The New York Times.
