Iowa vs New York: Better to have first vote or 24-hour subways?

Cost of living is cheaper in Iowa? Not for everything

Iowa once again is center stage for one of the country’s biggest political events. The 2020 presidential caucuses officially kick off the campaign season today. Democratic candidates have been traversing the state for months in the hope of winning the first battle for delegates to determine who will face off against President Trump in November.

However, the "Hawkeye State" has come under fire with may political activists who think the state wields too much political influence. While it’s only the 31st largest state in terms of population and has only 41 delegates up for grabs compared to New York, which has 270 delegates and ranks No. 4 in terms of size, it still carries much momentum as candidates decide the next steps in their campaigns. And if you are wondering when the New York State primary is held, that's not until April 28th - after 38 other states have held contests.

DEMOCRATS BURNING CASH AHEAD OF IOWA CAUCUSES

Former New York City mayor turned White House hopeful Mike Bloomberg isn't buying into the Iowa gambit. He is in California today eyeing that state's 495 delegates that will be up for grabs on March 3.
