Varney: Drive to throw Trump out of office is just about finished

The Democrats 'hate-filled tantrum got them nowhere'

The drive to remove President Trump from office is just about finished, FOX Business’ Stuart Varney argued in his latest “My Take.”

“Impeachment has become a national embarrassment. For three years the left has dragged our country through the dirt for one simple reason, they lost the 2016 election to a man they just can’t stand,” Varney said.

Contempt and hatred should not be the force guiding any political party, but Democrats can’t help themselves, he argued. The impeachment of Trump is the product of coastal elites and was unfair from the beginning, he added.

The impeachment process employed secret depositions of 18 witnesses for the left and revolved around a phone call, Varney argued.

“Look where the Democrats are now. In Congress, a three-year get-him-out-of-office failure. Their hate-filled tantrum got them nowhere,” he said.

In the coming election, Democrats are split between socialists Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders as well as the “aging gaffe-prone” Joe Biden and the $60 billion Michael Bloomberg—who is doing his best to buy the nomination, Varney argued.

“Add it all up and this is an unmitigated disaster for the elites and their media handlers. Just like in Britain where the elites were dead set against leaving Europe, they lost. Britain is out. Here they were dead set against Trump. They lost. Trump’s still in and looking better and better for a second term,” Varney argued.
