Kasich: Ohio Has a Revenue Problem and Trump’s Tax Plan Can Fix It
Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) discussed the revenue issue plaguing states across the country, telling the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney, “We do have a revenue problem in our state and all across the country.”
But Kasich said President Trump’s tax plan will lead to the economic growth America needs.
“We need to have deep, strong economic growth. And I do like that section of the president’s tax cut proposal to help small businesses, very, very important in dealing with the corporate rates.”
Kasich says it's essential to address the needs of small business in any effort to boost US economic growth.
“I think the top rates, the marginal rates, I’m not as concerned about frankly, as I am the corporate rate and also those provisions that help small business. I think that would help our economy to grow and help people.”
Kasich said his faith figures directly into his politics. “Whether it was Ronald Reagan or John Kennedy, a rising tide lifts all boats, give everybody a shot in your society, that doesn’t mean a handout but a hand up.”
