Obama's 'Very Interested' in Executive Tax Hikes?!

I told you these executive orders were getting out of control.

Now President Obama is seriously thinking of hiking taxes with just the stroke ... of a pen.

When asked by a reporter: "Have you guys been looking at the tax code, specifically?”

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest replied: “Well, the president has asked his team to examine the array of executive authorities that are available to him to try to make progress on his goals. I’m not in a position to discuss any of this in any great detail at this point, but the president is very interested in this avenue generally."

Look at that last line: "The president is very interested in this avenue generally."

Wow. This "avenue" for "revenues."

An "order" to hike "taxes."

Holy cow. My friends, that's not just an executive order... that's an executive order on steroids. But if you think about it, a logical leap for a White House that's taken some very serious Constitutional leaps with this presidential prerogative that's turned into more a "royal edict."

After all, if you can take a pen and magically sign off delaying  deportations for up to 5 million illegals, is it that much of a jump bypassing Congress and just hiking billions of dollars in new taxes on your own?

That's the thing about executive orders that go un-checked, the president keeps checking them off. But this tax thing, a totally new thing, is a very, very scary thing.

I'm not even a lawyer, and I know this is illegal. That's because our Constitution says only Congress can do this kind of stuff... it says nothing about the president telling them to get stuffed.
