California ranch bigger than San Francisco on the market for $72M
Lawmakers have urged California Gov. Gavin Newsom to buy the property for a state park
A California ranch larger than the entire city of San Francisco is on the market for the first time since the 1930s.
The $72 million N3 Cattle Company property includes about 50,500 acres across four counties. It’s the largest single land offering in the state, according to the listing with Todd Renfrew of California Outdoor Properties.

$25M MONTANA RANCH BRINGS LUXURY TO RUGGED COUNTRY
This working ranch includes five corrals and can accommodate 650 cow/calf pairs year-round, 1,500 pairs seasonally or 3,200 stockers seasonally, according to the listing. There are also a horse barn, hay barn and two workshops.
The property includes 200 miles of private roads that the brokers said could be used for hiking, trail running, mountain biking and ATVing. There are also 14 hunting camps spread across the property, each with cabins, water, propane and skinning sheds.

T. BOONE PICKENS’ FORMER TEXAS RANCH PRICE CUT BY $30M
The property’s main residence is a four-bedroom home. There’s also a one-bedroom annex, a bunkhouse and four cabins for employee housing.
Any would-be buyers may need to act soon. Gov. Gavin Newsom included $20 million in his proposed budget this year to create a new state park. While Newsom didn’t specify the location he had in mind, a group of lawmakers sent the governor a letter pushing him to make a move on the ranch, The Mercury News of San Jose reported.
