These NFL stars have South Florida homes. Here's how close they are to Super Bowl LIV
Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown are among those who have homes in South Florida
This weekend, football players, coaches and fans will be visiting Miami for Super Bowl LIV -- but some professional players already have homes in the area.
On Friday, real estate website The Real Deal published a list of professional football stars who have residences in South Florida.
The list includes names such as former New Englands Patriots player Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and former Pittsburgh Steeler Antonio Brown.

Here are 12 current and retired football stars who have homes in South Florida, according to The Real Deal.
Antonio Brown
Where his home is: Antonio Brown has a mansion in Hollywood, Fla., according to The Real Deal. Hollywood is about 20 miles north of Miami and only about 10 miles away from Miami Gardens, where Super Bowl LIV will be happening.
What he’s best known for: Brown, currently an NFL free agent, has been surrounded by controversy in recent years. He played nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and was traded to the Oakland Raiders last year but was released before ever playing a regular-season game following several off-the-field incidents. He was then signed by the New England Patriots, who released Brown in September after a second woman in 10 days accused him of sexual misconduct.
Earlier this week, Brown posted bail for allegedly attacking a truck driver along with his trainer.
Dan Marino
Where his home is: Dan Marino reportedly has several properties in South Florida, including a five-bedroom house in Weston -- which is about 40 minutes northwest of Miami Gardens -- and at least one property in Fort Lauderdale -- about 20 miles east of Weston.
What he’s best known for: Marino is best known for being the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins for 17 seasons -- from 1983 to 2000. He was also inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005.
DeVante Parker
Where his home is: DeVante Parker bought a residence in Davie, Fla., back in June, according to The Real Deal. Davie is less than 10 miles north of Miami Gardens.
What he’s best known for: Parker is a 27-year-old wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins and has been playing for the team since he was drafted in 2015.
Don Shula
Where his home is: Don Shula has two residences in South Florida. He’s had his home on the exclusive Indian Creek Island -- in Miami's Biscayne Bay -- for many years, according to Business Insider. In December, Shula closed a deal on a luxury condo at the Four Seasons Residences at The Surf Club, also in Miami, according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Though Shula played in the NFL, he is perhaps best known as the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, which he coached from 1970 to 1999, leading the team to two Super Bowl wins and a perfect season in 1972.
Frank Gore
Where his home is: Frank Gore reportedly has a home in Davie that he’s trying to sell, according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Gore, a Florida native, is a running back for the Buffalo Bills but was first drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2005 and has played for the Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins.

Jason Taylor
Where his home is: Jason Taylor has a home in Plantation, Fla. -- about half an hour north of Miami Gardens. According to The Real Deal, Taylor sold a mansion in Weston in 2017.
What he’s best known for: Taylor, who spent most of his NFL career with the Miami Dolphins, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
Kenny Stills
Where his home is: Much like Gore, Kenny Stills is also trying to sell his South Florida home, which is in Fort Lauderdale.
What he’s best known for: Stills is a wide receiver for the Houston Texans but has previously played for the Miami Dolphins and the New Orleans Saints. According to The Real Deal, Stills had a disagreement with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross about a fundraiser for President Trump before he was traded from the team last August.
Kim Bokamper
Where his home is: In December, Kim Bokamper sold his home in Plantation but reportedly plans to buy another home in Fort Lauderdale, The Real Deal reported.
What he’s best known for: Bokamper, a former linebacker and defensive end, played for the Miami Dolphins for his whole NFL career, from 1977 to 1985.

Nick Bosa
Where his home is: Last summer Nick Bosa bought a condo in Fort Lauderdale, according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Bosa, who is from Fort Lauderdale, will be playing in the Super Bowl for the San Francisco 49ers as a defensive end.
Rob ‘Gronk’ Gronkowski
Where his home is: In July, Rob Gronkowski bought a four-bedroom condo in the Marquis Residences in Miami, according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Gronkowski, nicknamed “Gronk,” was a tight end for the New England Patriots from 2010 until he retired in March 2019. During those years, the Patriots won three Super Bowl championships.
T.Y. Hilton
Where his home is: T.Y. Hilton is from Miami and has a home in Doral, Fla., southwest of Miami Gardens, according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Hilton is a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts and has been playing for the team since 2012.
Warren Sapp
Where his home is: Warren Sapp has a condo in Hollywood, Fla., according to The Real Deal.
What he’s best known for: Sapp, a former defensive tackle, played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders. In 2002, the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl championship while he was on the team and in 2013, Sapp was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
