San Francisco 49ers eyeing next generation of NFL fans
The Raiders’ move to Las Vegas opened up the Bay Area to a new generation of fans
San Francisco 49ers President Al Guido is setting his sights on the future of the NFL.
He told FOXBusiness’ Maria Bartiromo during an interview ahead of Super Bowl LIV in Miami that the Raiders’ move to Las Vegas opened up the Bay Area and “we have to do our job to win the next generation of fan.”

While there’s not much the 49ers can do to change the minds of current Raiders fans, Guido pointed out, they’re setting their sights on pee-wee football players.
“Where’s that 6-year-old, that 7-year-old, that 8-year-old, that’s putting on a flag football uniform? Is that going to be a 49ers uniform for them? We think so,” he explained.

Whether it be youth football, education or the nonprofit sector, “it’s all about what we do for the next [generation] to engage those fans for the next 20 years,” he continued.
The 49ers are squaring off against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend at Hard Rock Stadium. The team has won five NFL championships so far, two in Miami.
