Boy Tells Police Officer 'I Have Your Six' in Heartwarming Note
Law enforcement can often be seen as a thankless job, but one police officer in Lakewood, Colorado got a heartwarming thank you from a seven-year-old.
Officer Ryan O’Hayre described what happened when he was approached by seven-year-old Hunter Seffes.
“I was standing in line at the Chick-Fil-A, it was kind of a busy Friday night. And Hunter here walked up and handed this note to me. It was folded up so I couldn’t immediately tell exactly what it was but when I opened it up I saw that it was a hand-written note and it also included a gift card in it,” Officer O’Hayre told the FOX Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo.
Officer O’Hayre read the note and said his favorite part said, “’Don’t ever worry, I have your six,’ which means I have your back.”
“What a beautiful sentiment at this moment in time where the NYPD and police officers everywhere are being faced with pushback and it’s wrong,” Bartiromo responded.
“Hunter sort of boldly walked up to me and just handed it to me. He was pretty proud and his parents should be very proud of him,” said Officer O’Hayre.
