Antonio Sabato, Jr. on Celeb Threats to Flee U.S. Over Trump Presidency

Creator and star of HBO’s series Girls Lena Dunham is the latest celebrity threatening to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump becomes president. Actor and Trump supporter Antonio Sabato, Jr. joined the FOX Business Network’s Deirdre Bolton to discuss.

“I don’t know what is going on, you have to love and appreciate this country, no matter who is going to be in charge and that comes from the heart,” he said.

Sabato, who said he moved to the U.S. with his mom in the mid-1980’s from a communist country, believes that everyone should be passionate about their home—or get out.

“Now’s a crucial and exciting time to actually have all of these people come up and say they are going to move to Canada. I think, go to Canada, and go wherever you want to go. I just want to tell them if you go, stay there for a little bit so we can run our country the way it should be run and we will see you in about 8 years because if Donald Trump becomes president, the next 8 years are his,” he said.

Sabato also said Trump will win California. “I think now is about common sense, I think that the common sense is to vote for Donald Trump. There is no other choice; there is nothing else on any other side. His own party is against him, the Democratic Parties against him, everybody is against him. Then you have this guy who actually stands for this country and wants to do what’s right for the people and everyone is against him. So I don’t get it, to tell you the truth. In my business, you would be surprised; there are a lot of people for Donald Trump. At the end of the day, I think they are going to vote for him and we’re going to have this guy in the [White House] next January,” he said.
