Stuart Varney

Stuart Varney joined FOX Business Network (FBN) in 2007 and is the host of Varney & Co. (weekdays 9 AM-12 PM/ET), the highest rated market program on television. In addition, he hosted FBN Prime's American Built, a series that showcases the ingenuity behind some of the country’s most iconic landmarks.

Throughout his tenure with the network, Varney has interviewed leading titans of business, politics, sports and entertainment, including Dave Portnoy, former Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, former National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Ajit Pai, United States Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, former President Trump, among others. Most recently, Varney contributed to FOX Business Democratic National Convention coverage. In September 2023, Perino co-moderated the second Republican presidential debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Additionally, he contributed to FBN's 2022 Midterm Election panel alongside Maria Bartiromo, Charles Payne and Larry Kudlow.

Prior to joining FNC, Varney served as the host of CNBC's Wall Street Journal Editorial Board with Stuart Varney. Before that, he was a co-anchor of CNN's Moneyline News Hour. Varney helped launch CNN's business news team in 1980 and hosted many of their financial programs including, Your Money, Business Day and Business Asia. His reporting and analysis of the stock market crash of 1987 helped earn CNN a Peabody Award for excellence in journalism.

A graduate of the London School of Economics, Varney began his broadcast journalism career as a business anchor for KEMO-TV in San Francisco.
