Is Marco Rubio Authentic?

The Republican race for the White House has gotten even nastier as Marco Rubio has begun firing shots at frontrunner Donald Trump. However, former GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee isn’t buying it.

“It is not part of Marco Rubio’s brand and the one thing people look for in a candidate is authenticity,” he said during an interview with the FOX Business Network’s Stuart Varney.

During a rally in Roanoke, Virginia on Sunday, Marco Rubio took jabs at Trump saying “he doesn’t sweat [because] his pores are clogged from the spray tan,” and “Donald is not going to make America great, he’s going to make America orange.”

Donald Trump fired back during an interview on Fox News Sunday, “I call him little Rubio, he’s a very nasty guy,” he said.

Huckabee discussed how these comments are out of character for Rubio.

“Frankly, this is not Marco Rubio. He has been handed a script and he’s been told by his inner circle that he’s got to go out there and say these things  -- those are not lines that Marco Rubio came up with… Donald Trump has a long history of the bravado and the bluster and that’s part of his brand,” he said.

While Huckabee’s daughter has been hired as Trump’s senior advisor, he said he would not be endorsing any candidate in the primary.
