Kim Porter started writing about personal finance a decade ago, when she and her husband had about $150,000 in student loan debt. They are now debt-free homeowners who love to travel. Porter is an expert in credit, mortgages, student loans, and debt management.
In addition to covering mortgages for Credible, she’s a regular contributor for personal finance websites including U.S. News & World Report, Reviewed.com, Bankrate, and Credit Karma. An avid traveler and runner, she plans to complete a race on each of the seven continents.
Kim received her bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in Asian studies from the University of Florida. She’s studied Mandarin in China and German in Switzerland.
