Varney: Democrats are ‘imploding’ as stocks rise

Money is reacting to politics

FOX Business’ Stuart Varney, in his latest “My Take,” makes it clear that the state of the union is strong while the Democrat Party is not.

Varney said that it’s not a coincidence that as the stock market rises, the Democrats are “imploding.”

Money reacting to politics,” he said.

As it becomes more likely that President Trump will be re-elected, Varney said, the economy is responding with new signs of growth.

VARNEY: THE STATE OF THE UNION IS STRONG

Varney said his thinking is that socialists and moderates alike will not beat Trump in the 2020 presidential race. And although Michael Bloomberg will buy his spot as a Democratic candidate, he said, he will not be able to buy a win.

Varney highlighted a Washington Post headline: “His campaign on the line, Joe Biden goes missing in New Hampshire,” he said.

“Talk about implosion,” he said. “In the Iowa debacle, he has dropped seven points in three days… Biden is down and close to being out.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, according to Varney, is also “fading fast” since claiming third place in the New Hampshire poll.

“She was a contender, now she’s not,” he said.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg is surging in the polls as well as Bernie Sanders. The contrast between the two being their 40-year age gap: a “newcomer” and a socialist living in “fantasy land,” Varney said.

“There's not much bench strength in this Democrat Party,” he said.

Varney also questioned whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s act of ripping up Trump’s State of the Union address will do her party any justice. Meanwhile, he said, coastal impeachment managers Reps. Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler are “synonymous with out-of-touch elitism.”

This implosion came in just a few weeks, Varney said, after impeachment efforts failed and the Iowa caucuses “embarrassed the whole party.”

“Biden faded, Warren faded and Speaker Pelosi seemed consumed with rage because she'd lost on all fronts to the president,” he said.

Varney said this is a bonus for everyone and a “lesson for the left: a party based on irrational hatred will lose."
