Varney: The state of the union is strong

America is the best game in town

FOX Business’ Stuart Varney, in his latest “My Take,” argues that President Trump’s State of the Union address will be "good" since America is showing great strength.

“The state of the union is strong,” he said. “It is prosperous. And frankly, we're the best game in town.”

But regardless of apparent prosperity, Varney said the “hate-filled media” has packed the heads of viewers with talk of recession and war and has pushed the idea that conservatives are “all racists and bigots.”

VARNEY: TRUMP'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS SHOULD GO AT DEMOCRATS FOR WASTING US TIME, MONEY

“Talk about negative,” he said. “The left has dragged us through the dirt for years.”

But impeachment and the Iowa caucuses are “suddenly a bust,” Varney said, while a blue-collar boom strengthens our economy.

“[America is] not a terrible place,” he said. “We’re actually pretty happy. And to insult Americans, as the Democrats have, is surely a lousy political strategy.”

Varney imagines the president speaking at the State of the Union with the Supreme Court, Congress and the military in attendance. And seated right behind him, Varney said, is Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“[In front of the] author of the failed and spiteful impeachment, the president will report America’s extraordinary success and its uplifting future,” he said. “It’s going to be quite a show.”
